If you read just one book for Black History Month….

Let it be this one:  Kadir Nelson’s HEART AND SOUL:  THE STORY OF AMERICA AND AFRICAN AMERICANS.  Even the title is perfect.  Here’s a link to his brief video — fascinating — about the book.  It’s an award winning book with good reason.  Every home, school, and library should have a copy to read all year round.  My next post:  more suggested reads because, of course, as stunning as this book is, one book is not enough.

Elaine had an extract of the audiobook on her show this week, After hearing about it, this looks like an interesting read. I listen to The Book Report every week at http://www.bookreportradio.com go have a look all Elaine’s old shows are there to, with other great books!
