Freedom’s Sisters: Myrlie Evers-Williams

Author, Commissioner of Public Works in LA, Chair of the NAACP Board of Trustees, mother and widow.  “I refused to give up,” she said.  It’s heartening to see justice done.  Largely through her efforts, her husband’s murderer was convicted — thirty-one years later, but still, it shows what can happen if you refuse to give up.
