Are you reading? What are you reading?

At the moment, I’m reading THE KITCHEN HOUSE by Kathleen Grissom and STONES INTO SCHOOLS by Greg Mortenson, as well as Gary Paulsen’s WOODS RUNNER and James M. Barrie’s PETER PAN (yes, really — the original, sooooo much better than anything since).  My copy is 99 years old and has silent movie photographs in it.
Remember it’s the 48 hour book challenge  . . . .

  1. So glad to hear that you are reading and enjoying Peter Pan! Doesn’t it feel as though it’s a brilliant, hilarious satire of the story we are all too familiar with?

    • Yes–I’m so glad you mentioned it! Thank you! It is a riot. And, you’re right, it’s like Dave Barry, or maybe a cross between Dave Barry and the quieter, tongue-in-cheek British humor of Alexander McCall Smith. I think I’m going to do a dramatic reading at dinner tonight . . . .
